May Practitioner of the Month Questionnaire

Sam Horton|Naturopath Practitioner

Sam Horton is our Practitioner of the Month. Here are Sam’s answer’s to our questionnaire!

  1. What do you do to spoil yourself?
Go out for dinner for Indian or Nepalese.
  1. What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to exercise. Lifting weights, kettlebells, or going for a run on a trail somewhere in the bush. I also enjoy meditating, playing the didgeridoo, read a book, or watching a movie.
  2. Do you have any pets? Tell us about them.

No pets of my own but I grew up with the family dogs. We had a Boxer and a Pug. Very funny dogs. My parents still have the Pug called Charlie, she’s old, and a new Boxer called Nelson. I hang out with them when I visit them all down in South Gippsland.

  3. Where would your dream holiday be? Why?
Several dream holidays. Go on a trekking adventure through the mountains on New Zealand’s South Island or the Victorian High Country. Sailing across the South Pacific and North Pacific Oceans. Or a fishing trip in Alaska.
  4. What kind of music do you like?
I like 70’s Rock and 90’s Grunge. Lately I’ve gotten into a band called Calexico. They’re a blend of Rock and Mexican music. I listen to instrumental music of different types while I work on the computer, or around the house. I don’t watch TV so having something on in the background is good.
  5. If you could do anything to change the world, what would it be?
This is a hard question to answer. Probably have the world’s governments have stricter sustainability practices around the world. If the land is mined or the forest is cut down maybe there should be practices employed to create new vegetations and eco-systems of equal amount to that which has or will be removed. It just appears in the world, that when people take from the land, it’s not being replaced equally or not at all. I think it could be, even if its in a different location.
